PKR Hulu Selangor: Race not criterion but only Tuan Malay candidate, prompting UMNO to be more racist

Selangor Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) liaison chief Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said PKR does not give importance to race when selecting its candidate for the Hulu Selangor parliamentary by-election on April 25. (The Sun 12/4/2010 at page 3. PKR letak calon terbaik, bangsa bukan criteria (Sinar harian headlines 12/4/10).

But this Tuan M.B then gets his Mandore MP to announce that all three of their candidate are Malays ie Zaid Ibrahim, Dr. Halili and Syed Shahir (see The Star 12/4/10 at page N6). Even the best candidate if he happens to be Indian, he will not be chosen because he is not winnable as Hulu Selangor is a malay majority constituency

This PKR action would prompt UMNO to become even more racist (UMNO mengalah lagi di Hulu Selangor, Sinar Harian 11/4/10 page N18). Whatever little representatives UMNO gives MIC will now be taken away and be given to the Malays based on PKR’s racist approach in politics.

One may say but look PR has 11 Indian MPs’. But none of these 11 MPs are empowered to seriously raise in Parliament, put an emergency motion, let alone stage a walkout for example the latest case of the UMNO police shooting dead two Indian brothers in their shoot to kill policy of Indian suspects who end up being 95% of the Malaysian victims when they form only 8% of the Malaysian population.

Obviously these 11 Indian MP mandore do not have the mandate of their Tuans and Towkays but all from PKR, DAP and PAS claim to be multi-racial but excluding when it comes to Indians.

The only way forward for us is HRP’s Project 15/38 as per our political empowerment strategy – the way forward.

When we succeed in creating 15 Parliament and 38 state seats, we will no longer take instructions from the PKR, DAP and PAS tuans. We will fight our own battle. Every dog has it’s day and our day will come.
